machining of small parts quickly and precice PDF Print E-mail

You would like to cut short parts from your aluminium profile bar and machine these beforehand - possibly even from the side? The small parts should be very precisely machined? The process should cycle quickly? Best of all, as an unmonitored process, where the machine operator must not be present? – For this our so-called software cycles are made.

A customer, who manufactures air freight containers, for example, uses this option of our eluCad programming software. In cycling, the small parts are first machined on the rod processing centre, then sawn off the rod. The profile machining centre saws right through a special clamp that is provided for this purpose and appropriately designed. The cut small parts are caught in a special tray automatically, so they won't fall into the bed of the machine.

The program for software cycling comes from the programming software eluCad.

Different process cycles can be selected, ensuring speed and accuracy. The cut small parts fall in the machine bed or are caught with with the plate which is mounted between the chucks. The process is automated with software cycles and needs no monitoring.

This allows small parts to be fabricated quickly and with precision.

Please take note: The software cycles require machine specific perquisites in regards to the chucks. A profile machining centre, which meets these prerequisites, is the 5-axis centre SBZ 151 from elumatec.

Depending on the modes selected, the small parts fall in the machine bed or, as shown here, are caught with a plate.
